Hello there! My name is Uijung Kim, originally from South Korea. I live and work in Metro Detroit, Michigan.

I’m inspired by my childhood experiences and the family and friends I grew up with. I like making fun, happy and sometimes sad illustrations. My work is strongly rooted in Korean culture through color, tone and narrative. My main purpose for making art is to make people feel happy when they see my illustrations. I want to speak to kids of all ages.

My work has been recognized by American Illustration and The Society of Illustrators.
